Job Description:
A company is looking for a VP, Catastrophe Risk R&D.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a skilled team of advanced-degree professionals
focused on catastrophe risk
Refine the approach to quantifying risk across U.S. perils and
manage catastrophe modeling vendor relationships
Contribute to post-event response activities and develop insights
for differentiated underwriting of natural catastrophe risk
Required Qualifications
A relevant, advanced degree in engineering or science
At least 15 years of experience in insurance and catastrophe
modeling
Proven experience in leading technical teams focused on applied
research
Strong analytical skills for leading complex technical work and
formulating recommendations
Resourceful with a focus on project scope clarity and delivering
against deadlines
